Amaya: Kornit HD series The latest new products announced by Amaya are the Kornit Avalanche HD6 and HDK. “These brand new, industrial DTG printers give a competitive edge to garment decorators by drastically reducing the cost per print, giving a high definition image quality, improved hand-feel and new software for advanced file preparation capabilities,” explains Amaya. “All of this gives an even better return on investment for the professional printer.” The new printers come with Kornit’s new HD engine and Neo Pigment RA ink, which leads to significant reductions in ink consumption and therefore cost per print in comparison to the company’s existing Avalanche systems. Kornit quotes a reduction in ink consumption of up to 46% compared with the previous non-R-Series versions of the Avalanche Hexa. Amaya, which offers the full range of Kornit direct-to- garment printers, adds: “Don’t forget that all Kornit printers have built in pre-treatment, which again cuts down costs.” Also from Amaya is the full range of Texjet DTG printers, which the company says are “excellent for lower production printing and one-offs”, and also the Forever heat-applied decoration system in combination with the Oki white toner printers, which offers a low cost entry into full-colour printing onto dark and light garments. www.amayauk.com DIGITAL PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 76 images MARCH 2018 “Create high-quality textiles including clothing, sportswear, home furnishings and soft signage with the SureColour series from Epson,” says Xpres. “Epson’s latest addition to this range is an evolution of dye-sublimation technology with hardware, inks and software combining seamlessly in the F9300 to achieve exceptional results.” The Precision Core TFP print heads of this system are reported by Xpres to ensure high throughput and long production life, while variable-sized ink droplets help to provide superior quality prints. Working in tandem with the print heads, Epson’s UltraChrome DS ink helps to achieve the best possible results while keeping printing costs down, as can be demonstrated on the Epson F9300 at Xpres’s Inspiration Suite. www.xpres.co.uk Xpres: Epson F9300 Dye Sublimation Printer MHM Direct GB: Brother GTX Since its release in September 2017, the Brother GTX DTG printer has been going from strength to strength, with MHM Direct GB reporting “huge numbers” of installs every month.
