It’s capable of printing 1.8m wide substrates at speeds of up to 140m²/h and at sustained production speeds of up to 120m²/h. “Textura employs variable-drop printing using water-based dye-sublimation inks for exceptional image quality and bold, vibrant colours,” says M&R. Textura can print individual image art and seamless patterns at full width and any length. The robust material feed design allows virtually wrinkle-free printing without the need for operator supervision, explains the company. The system supports printing on a wide range of heavy and thin papers, allowing flexibility on a variety of applications. Batch-queuing allows the system to be loaded with files for unattended non- stop printing of unrelated jobs. The printer incorporates an anti-crash print head carriage with a self-cleaning system. It also includes an integrated unwind/rewind mechanism designed to hold jumbo-size paper rolls up to 200kg, and its industrial media-handling system allows long print runs to proceed unattended. “A multi-section heating system provides exceptional drying capacity on all substrate thicknesses,” adds M&R. “Independent top, front and bottom dryers are individually controlled to ensure dry paper at high speeds.” www.mrprint.com TheMagicTouch: T.One Transfer Paper The T.One Transfer Paper from TheMagicTouch (TMT) is a ‘one-step’ coated paper for use with TMT’s range of white toner printers. This popular paper makes it easy to create garment transfers because there is no cutting or weeding involved, plus it leaves no residue on the garment, reports managing director Jim Nicol. Users can print full-colour, including white, designs on to all colour and composition textiles. “TMT continues to introduce new and innovative image transfer solutions, offering a wider range of marketing opportunities for users,” explains Jim. “TMT’s image transfer processes offer the ability to produce full-colour imaging onto a vast range of garments and textiles, regardless of colour, for workwear, sportswear, promotional and fashion markets. Combine this with its vast range of marketable promotional and B2B gift products, and it makes TMT a ‘no risk’ solution.” This year the company has already introduced new colours in enamel mugs, hip flasks, personalised stools and tables, together with Duraglaze-coated aluminium for outdoor signage. “Customers need to offer more products and services to their existing clients which is easy to say, but harder to implement,” says Jim. “However, we have proven methods perfected over the past 25 years that work, are affordable and effective in generating sales and enhancing the customer experience.” www.themagictouch.co.uk Aeoon: Kyo Hybrid Series Aeoon unveiled its Kyo Hybrid Series printer at the TV TecStyle Visions show in February, with the new model available in Q3, 2018. The machine contains a screen printing unit and a DTG unit, allowing decorators to screen print white ink without pretreatment before applying a DTG print. The screen printing unit (Aeoon Kyo Hybrid Add-On) has an integrated, industrial flash curing unit and promises precise screen adjustment (0.001mm). The DTG unit (Aeoon Kyo Series) is designed for mass production and has a native resolution of 600dpi. It is available with two or three pallets, and four, eight or 12 print heads. Pallets can be changed for different applications. The Hybrid Add-On fits on the back of the Kyo machine, and enables screen printing, DTG printing or a combination of processes. Once the screens are installed, operation is automatic: the pallets move to the back of the machine, the white ink is applied through the screen, the T-shirt is flash cured and then it’s moved to the front of the machine for the DTG print to be applied on top of the cured screen ink. The Kyo Hybrid has a claimed top speed of 1,280 prints an hour when set up with a double set of CMYK inks, three pallets and one pass printing at A4 size. It can be operated by a single employee, however the company recommends using two operators to allow the machine to perform at its top speed. Like all Aeoon machines, the Kyo Hybrid can be adapted to customers’ needs, adds the company. www.aeoon.com Novus Textura 1800 Automatic dye sublimation printer from M&R The new Kyo Hybrid printer from Aeoon T.One Transfer Paper from TheMagicTouch
