HEAT TRANSFER & VINYL PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 74 images OCTOBER 2018 Schulze: E-PowerPress Schulze says the new E-PowerPress is the first purely electrically driven Schulze transfer press with two worktops. The electrically operated transfer press has all the advantages of a conventional pneumatically operated press – ie, it opens and closes automatically – but without noise. This is because no compressor is required to operate the Schulze E-PowerPress transfer press (the company says compressors also result in high acquisition and maintenance costs), and it can be installed wherever there is an outlet with a 230 V power connection. Also new from the company is the Swing Duo S/SX Pneu, a transfer press that automatically opens and pivots. Schulze says it is equipped with a powerful stepper motor, making it “more convenient to operate compared to general heat presses“. The Swing Duo Pneu can be operated one-handed or with an optional footswitch operator, and includes a safety frame. The transfer press is available as the S (38 x 45cm) and SX (40 x 50cm), and the Schulze Swing Duo S Pneu has a touch display. Finally, this year Schulze introduced the BluePressLine Mug 15 Turbo. Operated by one user, the rotating press contains 15 heating elements and is capable of producing 275 mugs an hour. “The Mug 15 Turbo is the ideal solution for ambitious users who need advanced production capacity, and want to reduce production times and save costs,“ concludes Schulze. www.schulzeshop.com Jester Prints: Heat-Applied Textile Transfers Jester Prints has been making textile transfers for more than 40 years. Its comprehensive range of transfers includes flock, full- colour process and spot-colour in both cold-peel and hot-peel. Spot-colour transfers can be Pantone-matched, making it possible to accurately reproduce company logos, for example. “Many newcomers to the industry arrive via the vinyl cutting route,“ comments Jester’s founder Geoff Thorne. “While that is certainly a very economical way for T-shirt printing businesses to get off the ground, many busy users realise that their time could be better spent on other activities than cutting and weeding demanding vinyl transfers.“ Jester transfers are used straight from the packet with no secondary processes needed. The time saved on cutting and weeding can then be spent on selling and printing more T-shirts. “The use of Jester transfers is not limited to printing just T-shirts and sweatshirts – if the fabric is suitable and the area of the item you wish to print can be laid flat on the press, they can also be used to print onto many styles of bag, jacket or baseball cap,“ says Geoff. “Exceptional detail is possible, making Jester transfers an ideal choice for designs with fine lines or text, such as those catering for the school leavers-style of print with dozens of pupils‘ names set inside their year of leaving.“ www.jesterprints.co.uk Dorotape: Turbo Print Flex Dorotape reports that its ever expanding product portfolio now includes the all new Turbo Print Flex, which it says is “the perfect heat pressing partner where speedy garment printing is key“. The company continues: “With a recommended press time as low as three seconds, and at temperatures as low as 130°C, garments can be printed up to five times faster than with the standard Image Flex. With temperatures this low, the Turbo Print is a brilliant all-rounder for creating high quality prints on a variety of materials such as cotton, polyester, cotton/polyester and even nylon.“ Dorotape also recommends that its pearl glitter colours and bright metal effects will deliver “the ultimate high shine look,” and “bring any design to life”. www.dorotape.co.uk Dorotape notes that its newTurbo Print Flex has a press time as low as three seconds The new E-PowerPress from Schulze Geoff‘s grandchildren Lyra and Billymodel clothes decoratedwith Jester‘s transfers
