INDUSTRY NEWS www.images-magazine.com 14 images NOVEMBER 2018 Kornit launches Storm HD6 and reports successful adoption of its HD technology Kornit Digital revealed last month that since it launched the Avalanche HD in the first quarter of 2018, 150 HD systems and upgrades have been ordered worldwide. Additionally, on 1 October 2018, the company began shipping the Storm HD6 globally. The new DTG printer joins the Avalanche HD6 and Avalanche HDK in incorporating the Kornit HD technology and using the brand‘s NeoPigment Rapid Ink, which promises an improved hand feel, along with increased opacity and saturation of white ink. Kornit says the Storm HD6 allows mid-size businesses “to benefit from high- definition image quality and improved hand feel, as well as a substantial reduction in cost per print“. Omer Kulka, Kornit Digital’s vice president of marketing and product strategy, commented: “Our HD technology continues to be a success story as the reduced cost per print and the screen-like look and feel meet a market demand that is growing significantly. The DGI HSFT III is a high speed, dye-sublimation textile printer and part of DGI’s Fabrijet Series. According to Sabur, it has “massive benefits for high volume textile manufacturers“ and includes four staggered latest generation Kyocera print heads. It is said to achieve print speeds of up to 250sq m/h and has a heavy duty take-up system, a print carriage movement system with a linear motor for increased print accuracy, and variable dot technology. It‘s also been awarded Product of the Year Roll-to-Roll Dye Sublimation Onto Textile 2018 at the SGIA Awards. The FH-3204 is a 3.2m-wide hybrid sublimation printer that prints both paper transfer sublimation and direct-to-textile sublimation. It includes offers variable dot technology, Kyocera print heads and a maximum print speed of 155sq m/h.
