The TV Expert Forum in Hall 8 will offer a series of specialist lectures and ‘best practice’ presentations with industry experts. There are 23 topics being covered over the three days, from computer- to-screen technology in screen printing to the potential of the new generation of films for textile lettering. In addition, for the first time this year there will be podium discussions taking place each day, with networking opportunities afterwards. The panel discussions will examine topics such as the ecological, economic and social aspects of sustainability in the field of textile decoration. Screen printers should head to Hall 8 where there will be special demonstrations on how to print on problematic textiles such as sports jerseys, functional clothing and softshell jackets. “Questions that pose challenges even to experienced textile printers are answered on site,” explain the organisers. “One of the experts is the American screen printing icon Charlie Taublieb, who always impresses his audience with his expertise.” Screen printing ink manufacturer Rutland will also be holding workshops and practical demonstrations during the show. T he three-day TV TecStyle Visions exhibition kicks off on 15 February 2018 in Messe Stuttgart, Germany, as part of the trade fair quartet Expo 4.0, which also includes GiveADays, WETEC and POS Masters. The TV TecStyle Visions organisers are expecting more than 11,000 visitors to turn up to see the 270 exhibitors and the various educational events. Technologies on show will range from printing and embroidery to special decorative techniques such as flock, rhinestones and laser, while collections from leading imprint brands will also be on show. To help visitors easily identify the professional clothing stands and get information on the collections and the options for decoration, the show’s media partner PPF Personal Protection & Fashion has organised the Style at Work Discovery Tour. The stands are specially marked on the hall plans and the show’s app will also help visitors get a clear understanding of what’s available. Four times a day brands including Hakro, JHK, Premier Clothing, Anvil, American Apparel, Fruit of the Loom, Russell, Payper and Adler Czech will be demonstrating their latest styles on the catwalk as part of the TecStyle Fashion Show in Hall 10. TV TecStyle Visions celebrates its 10th exhibition in February with a cracking line-up of exhibitors, forums, catwalk shows and printing workshops Sustainable, fair trade products and ecological production processes get their own area with the TVP Infopoint ‘fair • eco • organic’ space in Hall 10. Sustainability experts from Mantis World, Neutral and Dakota will be on hand to demonstrate how the manufacturing, trading and decorating of promotional textiles can be made sustainable, and visitors will be able to print a Fairtrade T-shirt with water-based inks. The show also includes the presentation of the Golden Shirt Award, with the winner receiving €3,000 (sponsored by Kornit Digital). The show runs from 15-17 February 2018 in Halls 8 and 10 of Messe Stuttgart – located directly opposite, and a two minute walk from, Stuttgart airport.
