FOOTWEAR 44 images DECEMBER 2017 New from Himalayan is a range of safety footwear with a difference, says Briggs Safetywear . The ReflectO range includes four new styles, each with a distinctive and highly visible orange sole: the 5400 black with its S1P steel toecap and midsole; the 5401 black S3 with water-resistant upper; and two fully waterproof versions, one in black, the 5402 (pictured), and the other in brown, 5403. All styles have the orange SRC sole unit, high visibility reflective laces, TPU stitched-in scuff cap, and reflective strip to the orange pull-on tab. “The addition of a comfortable, PU-moulded in-sock for an improved wearer experience and reflective detail to the quality leather upper completes the high specification of this unique range,” says Briggs Safetywear, which adds that the boots are “ideal for transport, logistics and service organisations.” “In the modern working environment health and safety is of paramount importance, starting from the ground upwards,” notes Ralawise . “Where safety is concerned Work-Guard by Result offers tough and durable footwear for the professional whatever the working environment.” The Women’s Reflect S1P Safety Boot (R342F) has a steel toecap and composite midsole for underfoot protection, the upper is suede leather and the sole is cemented rubber. These boots are anti-static and designed with 360° ankle support, padded collar and tongue for added comfort, and a choice of laces: all- white, all-black and all-red. They are available in black and sizes 4-8. Result reports that its selection of safety footwear is a key part of its Work-Guard workwear range, adding: “Boots, shoes and trainers in the range provide extended cover for those expecting function, purpose and exceptional value for money with features [such as] EN20345:2011 compliance for toe protection, underfoot protection, slip resistance, energy absorption and anti-static.” New to the line is a range of safety trainers, which the brand says are “ideal for roles that require more athletic footwear”. Included in the range are the Work-Guard Shield Lightweight Safety Trainer (R347X, pictured), which features elasticated no-tie laces; the breathable Work-Guard Spark Safety Trainer (R337X), which has a nubuck leather upper; and the Lightweight Safety Trainer (R348X) and Ladies Safety Trainer (R349F), both of which feature a low-cut sports look.
