DTG PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 68 images SEPTEMBER 2018 Schulze: PretreatMaker range German company Schulze is one of the leading manufacturers of pre-treatment machines in the DTG sector, offering different models for different requirements. The PretreatMaker Basic is the low-end beginner model, aimed at users that are new to DTG printing and have low production output. It is equipped with one nozzle and has a maximum spray area of 40cm (w) by 45cm (l). The width cannot be adjusted, but the length can be regulated in nine steps of 5cm intervals. The spray output can be regulated with the speed of the carriage, and can be uni- or bi-directional. The PretreatMaker IV is an automatic, high-end pretreat system for professional users that is equipped with a multiphase motor (step motor). It has four valves, which can be individually switched on or off, and a maximum spray area of 40cm (w) by 60cm (l). Switching the four valves on or off allows operators to regulate the width of the sprayed area, and spraying can be both uni- or bi-directional. The new switch-valve allows the user to use two different pre-coating liquids, and an additional switch is used to clean the pre- coating pump. The machine also offers an automatic cleaning function within the touchpad menu. Schulze says the PretreatMaker Line is the world‘s first self- contained industrial pretreatment device for the full process of preparing garments. The unit is aimed at users that are specialists in DTG printing and have a high production output. Due to its construction, only one person is required to operate the PretreatMaker Line machine. Finally, PretreatCleaner is Schulze‘s own cleaning fluid for its PretreatMaker machines. The cleaner was developed to be used for cleaning the nozzles and machine, and also for storing the nozzles. www.pretreatmaker.com Schulze‘s PretreatMaker Basic is aimed at those new to DTG TheMagicTouch: Ricoh Ri 100 “The new Ricoh Ri 100 direct-to-garment printer offers full colour garment personalisation and textile decoration,“ says TheMagicTouch (TMT). “The all-in-one compact printer with its space-saving design and unique integrated curing/heat press system creates the perfect opportunity for many retail markets.“ TMT says the printer is quick, clean and easy to use, adding: “The innovative garment tray loading system and enclosed curing/heat press system removes any possible operator health and safety issues, making it perfectly safe for any retail, home, school or business environment.“ Its small size of 400 x 520mm and low weight (less than 25kg) means it is easy to move and use at events and promotions.
