DTG PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 64 images SEPTEMBER 2018 YES: DTG-PTM Automatic Pre-Treat Machine YES currently offers two solutions for the pre-treatment of textiles for DTG printing, the first of which is the Ez-Treat Pre-Treat Maker Pro. “With a simple to use yet powerful control system, this machine provides fantastic performance with real time controls during operation,“ explains the company. Users can turn off nozzles, set different heights and widths, and enjoy four different spray values (volume control). It offers up to three different pre-treatments in the one machine, and has inbuilt drainage at over four different levels to remove the waste created by daily usage. For those looking for an entry level pre-treatment system, there is the brand-new PTM automatic pre-treatment machine by DTG Digital. “This machine allows anyone to pre-treat a shirt,“ says YES. “Just set the amount of pre-treat you need, put the shirt in and push a button. That’s it. Start pre-treating faster, better and more accurately with the DTG-PTM Automatic Pre-Treat Machine.“ A dual spray nozzle system delivers precision surface coating. It is, reports the company, a breeze to clean and maintain thanks to the integrated semi-automated cleaning function. The PTM encapsulates the shirt entirely, so there is no misting of pre-treat into the print room, and it can be situated on a table. “With the new DTG-PTM you can improve throughput and benefit productivity,“ concludes YES. www.yesltd.co.uk Brother: GTX printer Brother reports that the launch of the GTX printer has had “a great impact in the garment printing industry. From individual, single designs up to mass production, everything is possible. This next generation technology provides faster print speeds and better quality prints, is easier to use, and puts you ahead of your competition.“ Brother adds that in May this year, the GTX was awarded the EDP (European Digital Press Association) Award for best direct-to-garment printer. In addition to the new Brother GTX printer, Brother provides a “huge range of proven solutions“ for direct-to-garment printing, including an automated pretreatment line for up to 200 shirts per hour, camera and projector tools for easy and precise placement of the print, and several exclusive software applications for an automated production workflow. www.brothergtx.com The EDP Award-winning Brother GTX printer The new PTM automatic pre-treatment machine from DTG Digital Vastex: LittleRed X2D Infrared Dryer From Vastex is the LittleRed X2D infrared dryer, which the company reports is its smallest and most affordable DTG- capable dryer, curing DTG printed textiles as well as plastisol, water-based and discharge-printed garments “at high rates“. “The X2D model features a high powered pre-heating zone that surges ink temperatures to over 150°C within the first several centimetres of conveyor travel inside the heating chamber,“ explains Vastex. “Two closely spaced, height-adjustable infrared heaters and dual zone heat controls maintain the consistent temperatures needed for DTG and other inks. Rapid preheating maximises the dwell time for each kind of ink, allowing increased conveyor belt speeds and dryer output.“ The X2D-30 has a 76cm wide belt, and is said to cure up to 240+ garments per hour with plastisol inks, 90+ garments per hour with water-based inks, and up to 26 garments per hour with DTG/digital white ink at 3.5 minutes dwell time. The X2D-54 has a 137cm wide belt and Vastex says it can cure 480+ garments per hour with plastisol ink, 180+ with water-based ink and up to 52 garments per hour with DTG/ digital white ink at 3.5 minutes dwell time. Both models can be expanded with additional heating chambers and belt extensions as business needs grow. www.vastex.com The compact LittleRed X2D infrared dryer can be expanded as needed
