DTG PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 62 images SEPTEMBER 2018 Amaya: Polyprint TexJet and Kornit “Whatever your size and regardless of your production needs, Amaya now has the direct-to-garment equipment that’s just right for you,“ says the company. “And what’s more, we have the experts to advise you on the most cost-effective path for you to take.“ Amaya supplies the economical TexJet printers by Polyprint, which it says are ideal for businesses wanting to produce small to medium orders, right up to the Kornit industrial range of DTG printers. “Both these printers offer unbelievable low costs per print and output the best in print quality,“ says Amaya. The TexJet now offers the latest in Rip software called Polyprint Digital Factory, which Amaya says offers the complete solution for the TexJet series and comes with enhanced colour management plus workflow support that enables quick file preparation and production times. It continues: “The TexJet printers offer superb quality printing and easy maintenance, and can be left standing with the power off for around 30 days.“ The Kornit range of DTG printers are fully industrial and have a built-in pre-treatment system. “The built-in pre-treatment saves massively on time and the cost of labour,“ adds the company. “Production on the Kornit ranges from around 200 dark prints a day on the small system right up to around 2,000 a day on the largest.“ Kornit has also recently released the Avalanche HD model, which is said to be able to produce A3 dark printed products for approximately 50p. “This makes digital printing make more sense on the small to medium order normally produced by screen printing,“ concludes Amaya. www.amayauk.com Amaya supplies the TexJet DTG printers Epson: SureColor SC-F2100 “Direct-to-garment printing has become faster, slicker and easier with the latest generation SureColor SC-F2100,“ says Neil Greenhalgh, product manager for textile products at Epson Europe. “By building in easy to use print settings and software presets, this model can ensure even basic users achieve really great results.“ The SC-F2100 now has a cleaning cartridge fitted for automating cleaning, which eliminates the need for any manual maintenance; this, along with the improved circulation of the white ink, results in increased uptime. Quicker speed modes mean the machine is faster than its predecessor and, combined with the ability to set up hot folders, it is a more productive model. Printer settings offer an improved mode that creates a second white layer overprint with the CMYK. With no time increase and smaller dot placement, there is sharper output of photographic images, reports Epson. The company continues: “The latest Garment Creator software makes creating and applying designs really easy. Multiple images can be uploaded and predefined settings applied to give the desired output. Text can be added locally with a choice of font, colour, size, position and angle adjustments.“ Both the UltraChrome DG inks and pretreatment liquid hold Oeko-Tex Eco Passport certification, meaning they are both sustainable and safe to use. www.epson.co.uk The latest generation SureColor SC-F2100 from Epson
