Here‘s our latest round-up of jackets and gilets 1. The waterproof Galaxy Winter Jacket (1410-354) from Danish company Engel Workwear has Cordura-reinforced elbows, numerous functional pockets – including two spacious cross pockets with zipper – and a detachable hood, and is available in seven colourways. Other features include a high neck, long back and storm placket in sleeves and at the bottom. The Galaxy range, says the company, is “a comprehensive selection of smart and functional clothing with the emphasis as much on comfort, style and fit as it is on being protective and hardwearing“. www.engel.eu 2. 2786 offers a range of winter coats, jacket and gilets, including hardshells, softshells and polar fleece. A latest addition to the range is the Women‘s Terrain Padded Gilet (TS31F), a versatile, fitted, silhouette style that comes in sizes XS-2XL and is available in 11 colours. Also highlighted is the men‘s Domain Two-Tone Gilet (TS028). “This unusual style mixes horizontal stitching to the upper half and vertical stitching to the lower,“ explains 2786. Exclusive to BTC Activewear is the Tee Jays collection of outerwear. “Tee Jays creates high quality clothing for the style-conscious man and woman; clothes that are rich in detail and comfortable to wear,“ says BTC. The Hooded Aspen Crossover Jacket (TJ9610/ TJ9611) is inspired by the trend of incorporating different fabrics into one style. This warm, windproof style is made from a 250gsm, 65% polyester/35% cotton fabric and boasts numerous features, including a mobile phone chest pocket; two lower pockets with hook-and- loop fastening flaps and handwarmers; deep, elasticated armholes with weather protectors; and a full-front zip with studded stormflap.
