The partnership will enable students from Central Saint Martins to use three new products from Epson. The line- up includes its latest dye sublimation printer, the SureColor SC-F9300; its DTG printer, the SureColor SC-F2100; and an A3 scanner, the Expression 12000XL. More than 1,000 students across fashion, textiles and jewellery courses will have access to the new portfolio of Epson products. Heather Kendle, market development manager for Epson Europe, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Central Saint Martins. Education is a key focus for us and we are constantly looking to encourage students to learn new skills and to push the boundaries of design and creativity to their limits using our products. This partnership will be far more constructive than simply placing kit into the college as we will be able to use the students’ feedback to refine our technology even further.“ Epson will work with Central Saint Martins over the next 12 months on a wide range of events, including a print project for 2nd Year BA Fashion students and London Fashion Week as well as profiling students who have used Epson technology to create their work. www.epson.eu The SureColor SC-F9300 is one of three Epson machines available to Central St Martin‘s students YES introduces the Ricoma CHT2 multi-head series Your Embroidery Services (YES) has announced the launch of the Ricoma CHT2 compact embroidery machine series. Ricoma has developed the new machine to make embroidery on tubular, flat panels, caps and other finished garments faster and easier than ever. YES describes CHT2 as the “most innovative multi-head to date,“ adding that, “with a memory capacity of 50 million stitches, the CHT2 hosts the perfect combination of quality and efficiency that every embroiderer needs to grow his or her business.” YES continued: “Each head carries a standard 400mm by 450mm embroidery area, making it easier to embroider larger designs and garments such as jackets and bags. To ensure the highest quality with every stitch, Ricoma has introduced new dual-timing belt and servo-driven pantograph systems that enable smoother transition and movement. This stability ensures the CHT2 is its quietest multi-head series yet. The higher torque creates the power and control to stitch through complex designs at a maximum speed of 1000spm without compromising quality.“ The Ricoma CHT2 multi-head is available now as a four-, six- and 12-head. www.yesltd.co.uk The new Ricoma CHT2 multi-head
