The new system involves printing the design with a ‘composite’ black onto the T.Foil Dark transfer paper using an Oki enhanced CMYK or CMY plus white toner-based printer powered with the SpaceControl print driver. The printed transfer is then applied to the garment and heat pressed for 30 seconds, then, from a choice of 18 different foil colours, the design is covered and heat pressed again for what TMT says is “a durable decoration involving no cutting or weeding”. It added: “The bottom line is, the user is able to produce transfers (transfer and foil) for less than £1 up to A4 and £2 for A3, quickly and profitably.” In addition, new colours have been added to the 123Flex range, and there are six new neon shades in the Pearl Glitter line. www.themagictouch.co.uk T.Foil Dark is available now from TheMagicTouch Roland Academy webinars now available on demand The Roland Academy – Roland DG’s educational training and support structure for those in the print sector – has made recordings of its webinars available on its website, allowing users to catch up on demand.
