Staff at the company carried out a number of fundraisers over the 12 months, including cake sales, quizzes and a 40-mile trek. The overall fund was split between international, national and local charitable causes, including Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Glory Bandhu Protim Samaj Kallayan Sangstha School, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The school has a special meaning for a lot of staff, reports the company, as Bangladesh is a major producer of Dimensions’ uniforms and many employees have visited the school in the past. Dimensions earmarked £5,300 of the total for local causes, with staff voting for the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, to receive money. Dimensions has announced its new charities for 2019: Doorways Derby a homeless charity, has been confirmed as the regional charity; the national charity is mental health resource Mind; and Save the Children will also be receiving donations as the chosen international charity. www.dimensions.co.uk Industrial Workwear celebrates 20 years County Durham-based Industrial Workwear is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a £250,000 investment in its factory, staff, machinery and website.
