The Print Wizard transfer system is said to be ideal for retail outlets, such as high street copy shops, due to its small footprint and the flexibility of its system. It is also ideal for industrial printers wanting to expand into the small order market, adds YES. www.yesltd.co.uk Xpres: Evolution Print, Super Flex Evolution and Ultra Cut Vinyls Xpres reports that Super Flex Evolution single-colour vinyl is its thinnest quick-press garment film – each shade requires pressing “for as little as five seconds at temperatures as low as 140°C”. Measuring just 75 microns, this garment film is now available in 15 new colours, taking the single-colour vinyl range to 28 shades in total. Evolution Print printable vinyl also measures 75 microns and is the brand’s thinnest quick-press printable media. It features a vibrant white print face, is compatible with both solvent and latex inks, and it can be applied on almost all textile compositions, including nylon, with press times from just five seconds. To avoid press marks on sensitive fabrics, Xpres suggests using a low 140°C press temperature. Xpres says Ultra Cut single-colour vinyl is ideal for producing fine detail designs, due to its sticky backing. “This single- colour transfer vinyl has hot-peel properties, which helps speed up the production process, particularly for multi-colour transfer layering. The opaque white colourway is perfect for numbers and lettering on sportswear and football shirts, as it alleviates the worry of dye migration.” The vinyl is available in a large range of colours, including fluorescents, metallics and opaques, in 1m, 5m and 25m rolls. Also available from Xpres, SubliPrint is a European-made sublimation paper, available in a multitude of variants to suit every application. SubliPrint Heavy is a 112gsm paper suitable for hard substrates such as ChromaLuxe, and is available in sheets sizes from A4 to A3+ and rolls up to 64” wide. SubliPrint Universal is a 90gsm paper, which Xpres says is perfect for businesses printing both textiles and hard substrates. SubliPrint Thermo is a 90gsm paper with a heat-activated adhesive, which is designed to minimise ghosting on textiles, and SubliPrint Light is a 70gsm paper designed for the lower ink levels required for textile printing. www.xpres.co.uk Schulze: Mug-15 Turbo The Mug-15 Turbo is Schulze’s “first fully automated mug heat press for mass production”, offering a mug sublimation process that has “never been so fast and efficient”, according to the company. The settings on a Mug-15 Turbo are entered, saved and recalled via touchscreen, its display showing at a glance which preheating and transfer stations are occupied, and how long the transfer process will last. “Temperature and transfer times can be easily set and changed too,” adds Schulze. “The automated heat press is equipped with eight preheating stations, which prepare the cups for sublimation. “The system gives the fully automated robot arm its instructions and occupies the empty stations, picking up a mug from the preheating station and placing it in one of the 15 heating stations. After the transfer process, the mug is positioned and actively cooled on the designated section. At the end of the cooling section, the temperature cools down to such an extent that the sublimation process is complete,” Schulze explains. www.schulzeshop.com Evolution Print is compatible with both solvent and latex inks
