The UK’s only manufacturer of cutting systems, Blackman & White designs and manufactures its machinery at its UK factory in Maldon, Essex. Its cutters can be manufactured as laser-only cutting devices, or with a combination of laser, knife and routing options. They also integrate with industry-standard RIP software, as well as CAD and nesting packages. Andy Spreag, managing director at I-Sub, said: “With the textile sector enjoying good growth, the Blackman & White laser cutting functionality will be a key selling point.” In January, a Blackman & White Genesis V system was installed at I-Sub’s head office and showroom in Kettering for demonstrations. The Go Fuze solution is said to enable standard dye sublimation ink to fuse to cotton fabric, so that “any dye sub printer” will be capable of imaging transfers for use with both polyester and cotton fabrics. “Go Fuze liquid works through an easy pretreatment process, using either a hand spray method or Go Fuze PreTreater machine. Once the garment or fabric is sprayed and dried, dye sub inks can then be transferred in a normal dye sub workflow, utilising standard dye sub paper with a heat press,” explained the company. “In addition to transfers, users can also print directly to the fabric; the ink must be cured by heat for the fabric to be usable.” Go Fuze will be available in the UK from spring 2020 through Graphics One’s distribution network. www.graphicsone.com Geiger BTC announces first 2020 acquisition GeigerBTC, a subsidiary of Geiger, has announced its acquisition of Berkshire-based promo products distributor Lancewich.
