The new FC9000 series is available in four different sizes, all of which have an increased maximum cutting speed of 1,485mm/sec, and a cutting force of 600gf (5.88N). The new cutting plotters feature an optional media take-up spool to increase the efficiency of roll- to-roll work undertaken by digital print specialists, a new auto- panelling function and Version 8 of Graphtec’s Advanced Registration Mark Sensing (ARMS) system. Fabric technologies, such as Rain Repel and WickWork, also feature in the new collection, as well as sustainable materials such as recycled PET plastic, organic cotton and recycled rubber. The company has reformulated the ink to provide “a super clear printed surface, glossy ‘wet’ look when printed on other flashed inks and optimal doming performance”. The FX Gel Gloss Clear is easy to print, and works equally well on both automatic and manual printers. It’s ideal for adding dimensions, accents and interests to a print, and can be ‘stacked’ to achieve a 3D look.
