It’s also said to be suitable for printing with pigment, disperse sublimation, reactive and acid inks, promising vibrant colours and perfect softness. With eight print heads, the Artrix can run at double the speed of its predecessor, with output speeds of up to 92sqm/hr at 900dpi. The machine also includes a linear magnetic motor system to provide stable cartridge movement with more speed and more accuracy, making it “the ultimate platform for direct printing onto fabrics,” says I-Sub. www.i-sub.co.uk The DGen Artrix H8 offers an industrial digital textile printer with an adhesive conveyor belt system Screen Print World: M&R Digital Squeegee At production rates of 400+ prints per hour, the M&R DS-4000 Digital Squeegee bridges the gap between direct-to-garment printing and screen printing, says Screen Print World (SPW). Users can screen print a white underbase onto a dark garment using a traditional automatic screen printing press, and then dry it with a spot cure. The garment then moves into the Digital Squeegee, mounted on the same press, which then digitally prints an image on top of the dry screen print white. On average, the Digital Squeegee’s cost per print is said to be around 50- 70% cheaper than traditional, all-digital prints, reports SPW. SPW managing director Dave Roper comments: “It mixes the simplicity of screen print with digital printing. It cleverly eliminates the need for a costly and timely pre-treatment, and avoids heat pressing the shirt, which can damage the garment and leave unsightly heat press marks.” www.screenprintworld.co.uk The DS-4000 Digital Squeegee is said to produce 400+ prints per hour
