AJS: Tajima TMEZ single-head embroidery machine The Tajima TMEZ single-head embroidery machine incorporates Intelligent Thread Management (i-TM) technology, which cleverly looks at the design and delivers exactly the right amount of thread that’s needed for that exact length of stitch and thickness of material, explains AJS. “No more manual thread tension adjustment, which is much easier for non- skilled operatives, ensures consistent results and virtually eliminates the age-old problem of pulling on designs.” The TMEZ offers a 360x500mm sewing area, with an easy threading and tensioning system. It has a large full colour touchscreen operating panel, a laser position marker, thread trappers and a slim, cylinder design for easier access. New features include an under-hanging frame drive, needle plate and a reinforced wide cap frame, which is designed to enhance the embroidery stability thereby increasing the rotational speed to 1,000rpm. A digitally-controlled presser foot on the TMEZ enables the machine to embroider on very thin to thick material or seamed sections without fluttering. Its Fine Stitch mode is also designed to provide stability, making it easier to sew with hard-to-embroider threads. “Fine Stitch mode improves the quality of embroidery created with thick thread or soft-twisted thread like metallic and heavier yarns, which are difficult to use with the normal machine settings.” Barcode-ready, the TMEZ enables network access, and features one LAN and two USB ports. Options on the Tajima TMEZ-SC1501 include cap frames, table top and border frame, Swarovski stone attaching device, air clamps, seed beads, tubular sock frame, pocket frames and sequins.
