The Leeds-based printing company has offered £15,000 through the scheme to applicants from the music and performing arts industries, small businesses, with the grant split evenly across the three sectors. As well as the £5,000 grant, the successful applicants will receive regular training and practical advice from Awesome Merchandise to help grow their business, through use of marketing and creating promotional merchandise. Luke Hodson, founder of Awesome Merchandise, commented: “2020 has been an extremely tough year so far for everyone, in particular the creative industries and small businesses. We wanted to show our support for these communities, not only financially but by sharing our knowledge and expertise, to help their business grow. “At Awesome Merchandise, a large proportion of our customer-base are independent businesses, many of which are in the creative industries. We have great relationships with our customers and that’s why, in our 15th year, we chose to launch this grant scheme to support them.” imagesmag.uk/Awesome- Merchandise-15K Printwear & Promotion Live! 2021 postponed The Printwear & Promotion Live! 2021 tradeshow has been postponed until later next year due to uncertainty caused by the recent rise in coronavirus cases. The event was originally due to take place from Sunday 21 to Monday 23 February 2021 at the NEC in Birmingham. The organisers are looking at running the show in either May or June, and will be gathering feedback from exhibitors and monitoring the ongoing situation before making a final decision. imagesmag.uk/PPLIVE-2021- postponed The Schoolwear Show confirms 2021 dates The next Schoolwear Show will run from 10-12 October 2021. The embroidery company, owned by Nan McKenzie, provides embroidered schoolwear and workwear, personalised embroidered gifts, and baby and childrenswear. With the grant, Nan has purchased a Happy eight-head embroidery machine from Midwest Machinery, which will work alongside her company’s single-head and four- head SWF machines, Happy single- head and SWF Mas-12 single-head automatic embroidery machine.
