The BCC also published an update of its Brexit guidance dashboard, which contains 35 questions most frequently raised by businesses. In September, with less than 100 days to go until the end of the Brexit transition period on 1 January 2021, 26 of the key questions remained unanswered. Director general Adam Marshall commented: “The government must ramp up engagement with business urgently – to the levels seen prior to previous ‘no deal’ deadlines – to ensure that the real-world issues facing firms get tackled immediately.” imagesmag.uk/BCC-Brexit-Risk William Turner offers three-layer face coverings Decorators can now buy face coverings from schoolwear accessories brand William Turner. Made from two layers of breathable cotton and a third inner layer of knitted jersey fabric, the face coverings have adjustable elasticated straps and a flexible nose bridge for a secure fit, as well as a pocket to add an additional paper filter if needed (not supplied). They are washable at up to 60°C, and both plain and ‘fashion’ designs are available in youth and adult sizes. imagesmag.uk/William-Turner- facecoverings Christmas is approaching and the Covid restrictions are showing no signs of being lifted, and are even being tightened in some areas. It’s heartening, therefore, to see companies such as BrewDog coming up with products that allow us to continue socialising outdoors as the weather gets colder. The branded blankets created for the brewery and pub chain were produced for a sales promotion company who ordered them from The Cotton Textile Company (TCTC) for use in bars and restaurants with outside dining. Made from recycled cotton with a blanket stitch hem, the blanket is a Jacquard woven design that uses two different coloured yarns, so the design is integral to the fabric. “Our recycled cotton blankets are designed, made and finished in the UK from yarns taken from waste created during the spinning process, and from old T-shirts and jumpers,” explains TCTC’s marketing manager, Iuliana Vinte. “They are woven on a Jacquard loom in one of the last surviving cotton mills in Britain.” www.thecottontextilecompany. co.uk DECORATED PRODUCT OF THE MONTH More than half of businesses surveyed hadn’t taken any steps to prepare for Brexit William Turner’s new plain face coverings are available in adults and youth sizes The BrewDog blankets are made from recycled cotton
