It follows a surge in orders during the Covid-19 pandemic, including workwear for St John Ambulance and Royal Voluntary Service teams working on the vaccination programme. The new recruitment drive follows expansion of the workforce by more than 100 more staff since March last year, many of whom came from the travel and hospitality sectors that were shut down by the pandemic. Workwear Express, which currently employs 300 people in the UK, has set itself the objective of becoming Europe’s most successful customised workwear, PPE and promotional clothing provider, with an eye on international expansion: the company is planning to launch in North America later this year. imagesmag.uk/workwear- express-jobs Universal Uniform This logoed workwear was decorated using heat transfer vinyl and embroidery by Universal Uniform in Cheltenham for Prestbury Park Equine Supplies. imagesmag.uk/Universal-Prestbury New branding and website for GS UK Embroidery machine and consumables supplier GS UK is to roll out contemporary new corporate branding alongside an overhaul of its website. The new logo features the colours of red and blue that have been part of the GS UK brand for many years, but presented with a more contemporary design. The branding will be rolled out over the summer and is expected to be fully in place in time for the Promotion & Branding roadshows that GS UK is hosting in September and October. To coincide with the new logo, GS UK is completely redesigning its website, making it easier to navigate around the various products and services the company offers. The new-look site will continue to be at gs-uk.com. The new branding and website follow the acquisition of GS UK by two business consultants from Belgium, Robert De Regge and his son Ruben, in 2019. imagesmag.uk/gs-uk-branding Printful to expand in UK with fulfilment centre in Wolverhampton Print-on-demand specialist Printful is to invest £2.6 million in a new fulfilment centre in Wolverhampton, covering about 90,000 sq ft. The Midlands base is one of two new facilities that the company is building to support its expansion plans in Europe. The other is more than 100,000 sq ft of space in Lodz in Poland. The two new sites, each creating about 50 new jobs in their first year of operation, will be in addition to its three existing European fulfilment centres – two in Latvia and one in Spain. Based in Charlotte in North Carolina, US, it has another five sites around the world. Davis Siksnans, CEO and co-founder of Printful, said: “We chose the UK as our next location because it’s the largest ecommerce market in Europe.” The company is set to initially invest £2.6 million in the UK fulfilment centre, which it expects to be operational by the end of this year. The Midlands facility will start by providing services such as DTG, embroidery and printing for home and living items, but will eventually add other fulfilment options. With local fulfilment, it will be able to offer faster shipping times, predicted to be around two business days for deliveries within the UK. imagesmag.uk/printful-uk-site Printful, which is expanding into the UK and Poland, has its headquarters in North Carolina, US GS UK’s new logo Workwear Express in Durham
